Sunday, April 27th - City of Windsor Earth Day Celebration

Tuesday, April 22, 2025, marks the 55th anniversary of Earth Day. First celebrated in 1970, it now includes events in more than 192 countries. 


Locally, Windsor-Essex celebrates together on a Sunday close to the international Earth Day. This year, our local event will be on Sunday, April 27, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.


Games, prizes and free entertainment! Bring your reusable water bottle. 


Get outside and join us at Malden Park, 4200 Malden Road, for a variety of free activities and entertainment. Celebrate by visiting with many of the environmentally conscious organizations in our area.

Sunday, April 27th - ERCA Earth Day Community Tree Planting

For more information abouts event! Essex Region Conservation is inviting you to join us on Sunday, April 27, 2025 between 10am and 12pm to help plant 2,000 native trees in the City of Windsor.  


Trees planted at Earth Day are sponsored by Enwin Utilities and cosponsored by Green Sun Rising and the Environment and Climate Change Advisory Committee.

We are excited to announce an amazing community partnership with the Windsor Express and YQGgreen taking place on Friday, March 21st, 2025.


Windsor Express, two-time National Champions and three-time finalists will enter its 12th season in the newly formed Basketball Super League (BSL). 


On Friday, March 21st, the Windsor Express will be recognizing Earth Hour at its game in partnership with YQGgreen. It will be a fun-filled evening of activities, pro basketball, music, and entertainment.

Sunday, April 23rd - ERCA Earth Day Community Tree Planting, 2023

Essex Region Conservation is inviting everyone to join them on Sunday, April 23, 2023, between 10 am and 12 pm to help plant more than 1,500 native trees in the City of Windsor. The trees are generously supported by Enwin Utilities Ltd.


The event happens at the green space south of Wyandotte Street east between Florence & Martinique in Windsor. The event will take place rain or shine and will be delayed because of severe weather only.


Parking is available at the following parking lots, use the Ganatchio Trail system to arrive at the Earth Day site. Riverside Kiwanis Park/Pump Track parking lot, McHugh Park parking lot and various public parking lots along Riverside Drive East.

Maple Fest March 4-5, 11-12, and 18-19

March is Maple Month, and this year Essex Region Conservation is celebrating with an expanded Maple Syrup Festival that spans three weekends and two locations, with a Maple Trail connecting the two sites at the John R. Park Homestead and Holiday Beach Conservation Areas.
