Here’s your opportunity to do some spring cleaning! Simply visit our drive-thru drop-off located in the Devonshire Mall parking lot. Recycle your computers, batteries, phones, DVD players, TVs, gently used clothing, household items, old medication, document shredding and more.
YQGgreen will be collecting plastic milk bags to donate to a dedicated group of volunteers who quilt mats for the homeless - transforming waste into comfort for those in need. Collecting plastic water bottle caps (any size, any colour) for the YQGgreen & St. Clair College student art mural - help us turn waste into community art!

Learn about different Earth friendly things you can do as a family.
Plant a tree or shrub to help absorb carbon dioxide. Tree and Shrub planting generously sponsored by the Trans Canada Trail.
Build a Bird Nesting Box while learning about what you can do to help birds. Desjardins has generously sponsored this activity so that all can participate for free!
Bring your pop cans and used household batteries for recycling!

Earth Day is celebrated annually on April 22 to promote environmental awareness and action. First observed in 1970, it has grown into a global movement recognized in over 193 countries.
Locally, Windsor-Essex celebrates together on a Sunday close to the international Earth Day. This year, our local event will be on Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Games, prizes and free entertainment! Bring your reusable water bottle.
Get outside and join us at Malden Park, 4200 Malden Road, for a variety of free activities and entertainment. Celebrate by visiting with many of the environmentally conscious organizations in our area.
YQGgreen will be hosting a FREE Book and Clothing Swap. Any unclaimed items will be donated to the May Court of Windsor, with support from ONESource Moving Solutions.

Essex County's original Maple festival is a sweet way to spend part of your March Break! Join us for the time honoured tradition of maple syrup making from tree to table!
See the trees tapped, the sap evaporating, and the syrup being finished over the fire. Taste maple syrup, maple butter, and make taffy on snow.
March 14/15 is Lumberjack weekend and March 21/22 is Makers' Weekend. Check out the website for full event details and tickets. Tickets are available online and at-the-door.

Looking for something to do during March Break. Join our community partners Local 444 Environmental Committee for a FREE community event on Monday March 16th from 11AM to 3PM.
Fun things to expect:
- a giant banner the kids can all work on together showing what they learned or liked best
-Colouring pages of local wildlife
-Colouring books free to take home
-Life-sized self portraits
-Handprints for the kids to put their first name on to add to a handprint tree
-Bee and butterfly scavenger hunt
-Time lapse video of a butterfly hatching and another video of the butterfly mecca in Mexico
-Mini terrariums for older kids and their caregivers to create and take home.
